The power of growing, being and dressing differently..
Growing up in a creative environment led me to trouble, especially during a directorship time in South America . It was very difficult to get invited to a party for the second time, after showing up the first time in hand-made clothes, made out of recycled hand-me-downs . It was also a frustrating kind of feeling…Oh well…
But on the flip side, it was amazing to see myself wearing what nobody else had in their closets.
That was a very long time ago. I was ten or eleven years old and I already knew how to crochet and how to sew, thanks to my maternal grandma, my mom and my Italian roots…
